Some words of wisdom
Here’s a few words of wisdom, taken from The Word God Spells. It is not necessarily about religion, but about how we can see the words of Christ being relevant in our daily lives.
Our Lord was warning His disciples against the teachings of the Pharisees and the bad influence of King Herod. Both were proud and boastful, full of hypocrisy and sin. Because of their influence, they were leading the Jews away from the truth.
Only Jesus and His Word can satisfy us. Not the rites or rituals of religion, nor the pomp and power of politics. In the coming election season next year, let us guard against the false promises that will again be foisted on the electorate by politicians who are full of leaven — all hollow promises and empty performance.

yes, i really agree with you sir Blogie, because it was indeed written in the Bible in the book of Matthew and Mark that Jesus compared hypocrite people to the pharisees. They boast and released words and promises in order to be recognized.
Well, i hope that politicians who would run for a certain position in the near 2010 election would not just release promises, instead they should stand for it. As a christian, i could say that your blog is really significant and could bring a vast impact to the readers because almost all of the Filipinos are pretty tired of hearing those promises, bribes, and threats, but rather we need a leader who would stand for what she/he promised.
Yes, i do agree with what benedict and blogie said. Our politicians right now should not be driven by their vested personal interest. It should be a genuine aspiration to serve our people. It is too seldom to see a politician whose heart beat that way. We christians, should pray more and press on that one day Jesus will raise a new leader in our country who has a great fear for him. I know its possible. Hoping and believing this coming 2010 general election, politicians will be true somehow to their words and not just fooling people within the palms of their hands.
God bless us all!
